  • churchlike structure on Kings Rd below the dam was car garage for middle executives;
  • Quarry Bay Chinese workers village south of Kings Rd;
  • above the docks - expatriate bachelors qtrs and hostel for ship officers intransit, Taikoo Club in front with bowling green, tennis court, playing field, and the original (Kings ?) road around it;
  • newbuild slipways in the dockyard.

After the Pacific War the fleet was rebuilt and received new bodies from Taikoo Dockyard.
