The nearest shop was selling paper funeral offerings.  Judging by the steep flight of steps next to it, I suspect that it might have been just below Morrison Hill on the street to the south of and parallel to the Hennessy Road .  Any thoughts?  T has spotted the old Wan Chai post office below the trees on the left, so we can forget the Morrison Hill idea!

Hi there,

You could make out the old Wanchai Post Office on the far left of the photo.  The location would be around  the present day Wu Chung Building.
