I think this is the triangular junction where Kimberley Road meets up with Austin Avenue and Chatham Court.

Thanks Moddsey. Additional confirmation received from herostratus:

The building behind and to the left of the Holt's wharf foreign quarters house is the Hong Kong Observatory east side. This would make the picture taken at the junction of Kimberly & Austin Roads and the Foreign Quarters would be located roughly where Companion Court, 15C Austin Avenue is today.

... But do you know where is the location of the picture titled as "Holts Wharf Foreign Quarters"? I knew the answer many years ago from the following Hong Kong forum:

Well, they guessed that the location is somewhere near the public toilet at Kimberly Road, Tsim Sha Tsui!!!
