Wing Commander John Segar was the Commanding Officer of the camp from about 1956 possibly through to its hand-over in early 1962. The Women's Royal Volunteer Service lady was called Thea Randle. She came to the camp several times a week and organised various activities for us in the the lounge, games room and writing room off the N.A.A.F.I. There were quizes, darts and snooker competitions, and constant rejoinders for us to remember to send birthday cards to mothers back in England. She would even bring a selection of cards for us to choose from and then post them for us. A very nice person. (Andrew S)
