An interesting photo. The film "Screaming Eagles" was screened at the Empire at the end of August 1957. As noted here , the Empire closed down for renovation on 2 September 1957. So not long after the photo was taken. As the location of the Empire was in North Point, I surmise the photo of the Metropole Theatre that was located nearby was taken during the same period.
