Greetings.  The photographer was looking for business.   I was able to get close to see the subjects in his photo samples.  Though not here, their layout convinced me that he was the same man in the years I frequented the beach.

Men who rented out their boats had another job to do towards the end of the day.  One or two went out to look for abandoned and sunk boats, and hauled them back to the beach.  Regards,  Peter
