This is again a scene from the cinefilm showing another aircraft at the same place as the scene with the buildings. It shows a named plane "Clipper". Unfortunately I have currently been unable to decipher the rest of the name. Is this a Super Constellation?

Further pictures of the aeroplane are to follow.

It is a Pan American Lockheed L-049 Constellation, registration N88838, "Clipper Donald McKay".

Can I say a big thank you for the replies to my screen shots from a cinefilm concerning an airport and two of the aeroplanes in use on the day.

This has provided me with a lot of information. In particular a possible date range for the film. I am very grateful.

One wonders if this film was taken on the "first day" of service, although there is nothing to indicate a possible date.

I have not replied to other kind posts related to this topic.
