This photo is similar to this one from 1906, but taken a bit later as the progress on building General Post Office is obvious.
The buildings with nine arches Nos 15-23, Connaught Road are visible more clearly. When you look at the photo on Flickr, the signs on the left say "South China Morning Post Ltd."
The German Wikipedia refers that SCMP's offices opened there on June 1st, 1903.
