I read the story from Celia Hick (nee Collins) with great interest. Thanks Celia. The picture is from my family collection from HK and shows the Masonic procession Celia refers to. My father, Inspector David Stephen Roberts, is in the  fourth pair from the left (front) and he is on the far side in a light suit. I also have the picture of the Foundation Stone.

Thanks for this, Stephen. I'm pretty sure that the man in the fifth row with his head truned away from the camera is my father, Thomas Edgar.

I did not know my father was a Mason until his death, when I was offered an eduction and care by the Masons, on return to UK.
