Reggie Reed was the youngest of the seven Reed brothers.  His parents were Amaro John and Maria Rita Reed.  Reggie was born on October 23, 1914 in Hong Kong and died on February 14, 1980 in Rhyl, Wales where he lived with his wife Gladys and their son Stephen.

Reggie was a prisoner of war along with his eldest brother Robert Cyril Reed for over three years.  After the war ended, Reggie left for London when he was one of those chosen to represent the Hong Kong Volunteers in Britain's "Great Victory Parade" in 1946.
