We've got a page for the Hunter's Arms over at https://gwulo.com/node/6487

You're welcome to add a comment there if you can add any information about its location.

Are we looking west here, because if so it doesn't look like the area on the map where the Hunter's Arms was located? Do we know which station that was at the bottom?

We are looking east, from Fanling train station at the bottom. See https://gwulo.com/node/6487#15/22.4949/114.1461/Map_by_ESRI-Markers/100 for details.

"We are looking east, from Fanling train station at the bottom."

Thanks, this makes more sense. So are we to assume the 1930's map is incorrect, because that appears to show the Hunters Arms on the SE side of Sha Tau Kok Road close to On Lok Tsuen area?

I used to think so too, until I found the info in the above link. In this clearer map in 1945, the beginning of a text legend is usually placed next to the location on the right side (see, e.g. Fan Ling Sta.), and "Hunter’s Arms" is put just on the right of the present Assemblies of God location.

It might also be that the Hunt and Race Club actually also occupied premises on the other side of the Sha Tau Kok Rd. But "鄧裕興" should be at the present Assemblies of God location.
