Apparently, it was given along with a GRV pillar and a GRV wall box to BPMA after 1997.
Link to BPMA catalogue entry for the GRV pillar box from HK, which states: "Donated by the Postmaster General in Hong Kong. Arrived in the UK 13th March 1998": http://catalogue.postalheritage.org.uk/dserve/dserve.exe?dsqServer=localhost&dsqIni=Dserve.ini&dsqApp=Archive&dsqCmd=Show.tcl&dsqDb=Catalog&dsqPos=16&dsqSearch=%28%28%28text%29%3D%27Hong%27%29AND%28%28text%29%3D%27Kong%27%29AND%28%28text%29%3D%27box%27%29%29
No similar info is given for the GRV and GRV wall boxes but since their Ref No are sequential (2002-0011/1, 2002-0011/2, 2002-0011/3) it is believed they were donated in one batch.

Thanks. At least both postboxes are in good hands.
Actually the postboxes were erected during the George VI era. Quite rare to find before the handover.
