Royal Artilery 1927 - 1933  Enlisted HKP 1933  as  A95

Commended by Sec of State for Colonies for his part in saving life in typhoon of 1937.  Sub Inspector 1948     Chief Inspector Wanchai 1963.

Thanks for the extra information. I have corrected his birth date.

I have also received the following information from Brian Coak:

I have copies of both John Edward Hayward's passports. Jack was born on 27 June 1911 at Wye Kent England. ((Wye is a village near Ashford))

He enlisted at Canterbury on 17 October 1927 in the Royal Regiment of Artillery, Army Service No. 6340217.

He was also a Past Master of Cathay Lodge No.4373 EC Hong Kong.
