M B Manning
M B Manning was a Lance-Sergeant in the Hong Kong Police who was given the number A1. At the time of the Japanese invasion in December 1941 he was attached to Tai Po Police Station and took part in the evacuation of the New Territories in the early hours of 8th December, when all police officers were sent to Hong Kong Island.
