UA Cityplaza Cinema started operating on June 14, 1996. According o Cinema Treasures, its last day of operation was on February 23, 2017. Following a visit by one Gwulo reader to the site on February 27, it was reported that the place had been boarded up. An update will be provided when further news become available.

Meanwhile, Cityplaza's UA
Meanwhile, Cityplaza's UA Cinema will be closing in February next year. The void will be filled by Broadway Cinema's new concept branch MOViE MOViE, which comprises six wide screen houses and a well-furnished VIP house. The developer said the new cinema will also serve as a venue for film festivals, lifestyle workshops and cultural events.
Chan said the new cinema is expected to open before summer next year.
