Theater near Jordan Road-Canton road junction from 1931 to 1939. Demolished to become part of the King George V memorial park.
The pre-WWII Koon Chung Theatre was situated at the junction of Jordan Road and Canton Road in Yau Ma Tei on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong.
According to the 1930 Hong Kong Government Administrative Report, the construction work of the theatre building completed in 1930 and the theatre probably opened to business at an unknown date in the same year or early 1931. <Read more ...>

Ying King Theatre. Finally found a photo of the cinema where I watched some movies! I believe this was grand opening in 1960 though not able to read the words on the facade.
Think the Paramount sign belongs to the cinema. And behind the building on the right another one is visible with the incription PARA.. (the rest is covered). <Read more ...>
