The photo was listed as taken in 1982. Although there were no displays on the outside, I believe it was still operating on that day.

Capital Theatre (Sham Shui Po), northeast corner of Un Chau and Tonkin streets. The two-storey public toilet is still there, with a new exterior.

The movie shown is "Inyaah (Jungle Goddess)" ,an adventure film directed by J.C. Cook , starring Gayne Whitman. Released in July of 1934 in the USA.
The date is confirmed more or less (probably it's 1935), but there is no fitting place for it on Gwulo. Any ideas if this was a predecessor of Grand Theatre (Tsuen Wan) / 大光明戲院 or Grand Theatre (Wan Chai) / 香港大舞台戲院 ? <Read more ...>
