Thanks pk, it is nice to see these windows again.  They can last unless abused.  I believe heavy windows best to have hinges along the top as this one does.  If the hinges are on the side and the frame is not sturdy, the window could sag/warp over time to the point that prevents complete closure.  I have both types from the same factory, no problem with the former, but the latter warp which is not good when temperature outside is well below freezing.  Regards, Peter
