Tom Pilkington was Sgt 213 in the HKP at the time of the Japanese invasion, when he was serving in Western Division. He was recommended (with others) for a commendation for his work during the hostilities," involving dealing with fires, rescue work after bombing and shelling, control of rice and food queues and dealing with looters."
