It looks as though this ferry, with itsenclosed section midships, was using the old star Ferry pier just prior to the new pier being opened - unless it was out of commission awaiting a refit.

That's a good shot to see the old & new piers in one view. I can see people on board the ferry, so this must have been taken before the new piers opened.
