HMS TERRIBLE remembered
Whilst waiting for an early evening TV News broadcast recently, the tail end of one of the BBC’s interminable “Antiques” programs was still running. The “bargain hunters” had discovered a teak wood bucket or ‘Planter’ as they referred to it, carrying on it an authentic looking brass label declaring that it had been made of material recovered from HMS TERRIBLE, which as regular Gwulo readers will be aware has featured in Gwulo postings in recent months. Found in North Wales, it was sold for £50 in the auction.
