HMS Berwick 1928 - 1932
The Fairfield built Kent class 8" Treaty cruiser Berwick was launched 30 Feb 1926 and was first Commissoned with her full complement at Devonport 1 Nov 1927 for service in the 5th Cruiser Squadron, China fleet in lieu Despatch.
She sailed for the East 4 March 1928, arriving in Hong Kong 21 April, she remained on station until March 1932 completing 2 commissions when she returned to England for her first refit, whilst absent the Med based Devonshire replaced her.
Berwick then returned East arriving Feb 1933 when Devonshire departed.
She is shown in the traditional China fleet colours of white hull and buff funnels and upperworks.
