This is one of my favorite photos of my father Willie Reed wearing his favorite tweed sports jacket. I am guessing this photo was taken in the early fifties or even late forties. I am wondering if anyone recognizes the scenery behind Willie to determine the location.

Railway Track
Given the railway track in the background, perhaps near Tide Cove in Shatin. I am sure an accurate location will be forthcoming.

Moddsey, I think you are probably correct. It did cross my mind that it was somewhere in the New Territories. Shatin jogs my memory as I remember my father had a friend who lived there and we vsited him on one occasion. I also recall the house was set at a much higher level from the road. I appreciate your input, and would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful photos you have been sharing of Hong Kong and Kowloon so many years ago.
