Re: Jordan Road Ferry Pier/Vehicular Ferry Pier #1
Hi there,
It is Jordan Road Ferry Pier alright. There are Chinese charactors saying Ferry service to Wanchai. The pier was a multi-purpose one. The middle of it was the vehicular ferr pier with ferry service going to Central. The upper deck of these ferries are for passengers.
The service to Wanchai was run by Passenger ferries only.
Best Regards,

Vehicular Ferry Pier
Thanks T, I figured as much as there is a later scene as the camera pans right to reveal the waterfront and Lantau in the distance.
Cheers

Re: Lantau?
Hi there,
Once can only see Lantau in a very clear day at the Jordan area. What's shown in the capture was more likely Western District of Hong Kong Island.
Best Regards,
T
Western District
The western end of Hong Kong Island can be seen here:

View from Jordan
Here it is. The camera has already panned significantly to the right so we are looking due West (ish) - too far for HK Island I feel.
RE: View from Jordan
Nice shot. Yes, the hills are of Lantau. Surprised though to see a boat tied up alongside near the Ferry Pier. Cheers.
Which Jordan Pier?
Hi Phil, I think the place for this photo should be the older pier, #1, instead of #2.

Re: View from Jordan
I was just wondering if the view from Jordan could have been taken from Connaught Road West instead. Here is a recent boat trip photo of Tsing Yi and the Lantau hills in the background taken near Kennedy Town. Cheers.
