Hello

John Wall was my Grandfather and an inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police. He met my Grandmother Joyce Wilkinson while interned at Stanley Camp.

Thank you for replying with the above information. Are you saying that my Grandmother is from Newport, or is that where they were officially married?

It was always the custom for the bride to marry in her own parish if possible

But 1939 - 1946 people were scattered often away from home.
