My uncle Vic (I think is full name is Vitaly Veriga but I need to confirm) lived in Redcliffe in Brisbane and died in the 1980s.

His daughter Nikki is on the Stanley Camp Discussion group.

He was AJ Savitsky's cousin and also was very good friends with Zadorin (another Russian HK Policeman). I believe they all shared the same quarters/mess in Stanley Camp.

Zadorin's son now lives in Sydney and is a good friend of my dad.
