David Stephen Roberts
In 1945/6 he was recruited by Crown Agents from the Liverpool police where he had served from about 1934. The HK Police had been badly affected by the war and new officers were brought out to fill the gaps. He served until November 1956 when he became ill with cancer, flew back to UK and died shortly after. His family were with him, and lived in succession in Sham Shui Po Police Station, the Peak, (Castle Rd Flasts0, Ya Ma Tei Police Station, and twice at Kowloon City Police Station.
