this 1959 book by Herklots says the building was destroyed during the Second World War and was at the end of Starling Inlet

I think in later years the Police Station became known as the Sha Tau Kok Police Station. Note the Police Station (P. S.) on the map below was located then on the KCR Fanling to Sha Tau Kok branch line.
