31st - Baked bread.....Put in @ 5.20 PM too late, as Gas went slow + off @ 6.20 P. Baked again.....next day but no good. Girlie also made cake for Ma's b'day + cookies for Colledge.
1/8/44 - Actually sent 29 Aug. ((July?)). Sent Colledge 1 tin Tuna Fish 1 tin Amoy ((?)) Jam, 1 Coffee tin Cookies, + Bea's 1 tin Brown Sugar.
5/8/44 - 5¢ ((Catties)) Rice from Lim @ ¥8-00 p ¢
((As before, expenditure on Lim's rice is not recorded))
