Dorothy Elizabeth Darkin née Davies (born sometime between April and June 1931) was married to a Rick Darkin (I think maybe Richard Eric son of Norman Darkin?) who was a Superintendent in the RHKP in Mongkok, Kowloon at the time of her death. We believe she had left the UK for New Zealand as a nurse in the late 1950s before ending up in HK. She had two sons (Angus and Rodney) who would have been born in the 1960s. The last known address was in Broadcast Drive, Kowloon.

Birthplace (country):

1970 Approaching Kaitak

This should be the Tung Road junction with Boundary Street (vanishing left under the KCR Railway Bridge).

Army Sports Ground, Mongkok [????- ]

I found these three photos in a packet with others taken by my grandfather Tom Hutchinson dating from 1937, which may show the old Army Sports Ground in Mongkok. The sports ground was taken over by the Urban Council in 1961, and is now the site of the Mongkok Football Stadium.

The photos seem to be taken facing North, and the 3rd photo I think shows the railway bridge going over Boundary Street, with houses in Kowloon Tong beyond.

Can anyone confirm this?
