Japanese Tunnel - Opposite HKIS Tai Tam. [????- ]

This is a slightly unusual tunnel. It has a big entrance and the first couple of meters are quite wide, but then leads into a long thiner (usual size) tunnel for about 10 meters. Due to its location facing towards Tai Tam rd. I suspect it was to guard against vehicles and anti-personal.

To get to it you have to get inside the Boy's scouts grounds, opposite HKIS school towards Tai Tam Tuk village, and then follow the Tennis court fence and then head up the valley. About 50m from the Tennis courts.

I think this tunnel was used as a pillbox or ammunition storage ,because i've seen these examples in Okinawa

Ammunition storage/defence positions are very common with many tunnels like this one. Especially when they are short, single entrance tunnels.
