Lung Wah Theatre operated during the period June 15, 1962 - December 29, 1996. The 2011 Google photos show the theatre building remained standing at the site, and re-developments taking place nearby. It is doubtful the building will last long, if it has not been demolished since then.

Still standing
Just went past this site today and the theatre is still standing.

Theatre Names Live On
Greetings, and thanks breskvar for the feedback and the photo. I noticed that the names of some retired theatres are retained as company name when marketing sale and rental of properties at the site. Regards, Peter

Hi There,
I believe this site had been re-purposed. Last time I walked by it seemed to be a bar\restaurant on the ground level with something else upstairs. That was quite a while ago.

Sorry T I was on a bus when going past it so did not have the chance to walk in and check the goings-on inside.

Hi There,
Part of the ground floor is still in used by Go Go Duck Restaurant & Bar. There should be other shops along the longer side of the block. Still unable to remember what's upstairs though. Might have to go there to find out.
