Address: 24 Landale Street, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Rialto Building is the current occupant at the site listing its address as 2 Landale Street. The difference is likely due to re-numbering of the site to accommondate the new development after the theatre was demolished. The high numerical value suggests it was likely located a bit more to the south. [Edit February 7, 2017: The location marker has been corrected]
For simplicity, the two theatres that operated at the same spot are discussd here. China Theatre 中華戲院 operated during the period August 28, 1948 - June 3, 1952. Shortly after, it underwent renovation and reopened on November 15, 1952 and renamed Rialto Theatre 麗都戲院 until it closed for good on September 13, 1977.

Hi There,
There is a photo here showing its exact location. The building on Johnston road still exist today. If you move the marker a little bit south across the back alley it would be perfect.

Another great help tngan, thanks. I see your link-photo for the first time. For some theatres, Cinema Treasures has up to three separate links - text with/without photo, photo, map location; internet search may not show them all. For some theatres, flipping the English name and Chinese name can lead to different results. My search for this theatre did not reveal the page with this photo. The location marker has migrated a bit south.
Edge search speed is very fast, its ability (and Google Maps too) to accept Chinese characters is a big plus for this project. Regards, Peter
