Comments

The marriage is not listed St John's Cathedral on this date in 1907.

Carl Smith Card records the date of the marriage as 12 November 1906. Norah Elizabeth Pitcairn aged 10 months daughter of William Gibson Pitcairn and Elizabeth died 19 June 1911

Thanks for this,

is there any record of her actual Date of Birth or information on her parents (my paternal great granparents) ?

thanks

I havnt been pursuing this doggedly since my last post some years ago, but have now found my grandmothers family all via a simple google search which brought me to the Jewish Historical Society of Hong Kong  https://jhshk.org/

This has enabled me to identify my great grandmother / father and that my grandmother had 4 siblings, 3 brothers and one sister, and also spouses. Most of whom are buried in Hong Kong Cemetery this https://jhshk.org/community/the-jewish-cemetery/burial-list/abraham-a-e/ takes you too my Great Grandfather, the subsequent family pages are full of useful information which are difficult to find elsewhere, at least to me.

This of course leads on to further research and I may seek further help once Ive clarified things further, also I have a number of photographs to share.

Hi Andy,

I'm glad our (the Jewish Historical Society's) website was helpful in your family search.  That's why we set it up.  Please note that the Jewish cemetery and the Hong Kong cemetery are two different places, though they are both located in Happy Valley.  Some of your ancestors are buried in the Jewish cemetery and some are buried in the HK cemetery, the latter group presumably because they weren't Jewish.

I'd love to see the photos you have. We'd be really happy to add them to our memorial pages. Please contact me via the JHS website. Thanks.
