Kwong Fuk Bridge (3rd generation) [1957-????]

Current condition:
Demolished / No longer exists
Date Place completed:
c.1957-01-01 (Month, Day are approximate)

The bridge was part of the main road that ran in a large circle around the New Territories.

This bridge has been demolished and though there's no bridge currently at this location, there's a newer pedestrian bridge a short distance to the east.

The granite blocks that formed the bridge balustrade are now part of an ornamental siding along the footpath that leads to the southern end of the current bridge. There is a 1957 date carved into at least two of the old remaining blocks, so I think it's safe to say that was when this version was constructed/opened.

Thanks Phil, I've added in that date. I've also found out a bit more about the previous bridge at this location: https://gwulo.com/node/49360#15/22.4501/114.1645/Map_by_ESRI-1952_All-Markers/100
