Louisa Jane Usher was my grandfather’s elder sister:-

Born is Salisbury, Wiltshire 30 Sept 1865

Census 1871 – 67 Endless Street Salisbury

Census 1881 - 67 Endless Street Salisbury

Census 1891 – Skellbrok Hall Yorkshire, working as a nurse in the house of Percy S. Neville and his wife Etheline.

Then we found no other information until, through the internett, found:-

Louise Jane Usher married Albert Collett 26th Feb 1898 at St John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong

Birth of daughter Kathleen Eleanor Collett 15th Dec 1898.

Death 26th Aug 1901/2 (records say 1902, gravestone 1901) – Louisa Jane Collett buried Happy Valley.

Understand Albert Collett began his policy career in Gloucestershire, UK in 1891 and then moved to Hong Kongwhere he attained the rank of Chief Det Inspector 13.5.1911 – 23.5.1914.
