Pat Boone with possibly a Lillywhite on the left and Clive Hamilton on the right. Pat Boone boarded the aircraft in Bangkok, much to the excitement of the air hostesses on board. The aircraft was a BOAC Comet from London, one of the "Lollipop Specials" bringing childen from school in the UK to Hong Kong for their summer holidays. <Read more ...>
We were dancing in the Rose Room of the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong on the evening of Saturday the 6th December, 1941. During the evening an announcement was made on the loudspeaker, recalling all service personnel to report to their headquarters immediately.
