Jardine Matheson 1st Site [1841-????]

The buildings wsere quickly taken over by the Military to become naval stores and Jardine moved to East Point. Jardine also built a residence on Town Lot 42 where Flagstafff house is today. See here for more information <Read more ...>

The building on this corner on the Old Queens Road has a number of names over the years..

The 1842 Map shows it as the Cantonment Bazaar

On the March 1851 Map its shown as Ouchterlony's Bazaar.
