According to the 2017 report cited below, the masonry boundary wall was built circa 1908 to enclose the Lai Chi Kok quarantine station (now the site of the Jao Tsung-I Academy). Remnants of the wall can still be found near the former Customs Sub-station/Guard house:

"The [Jao Tsung-I] Academy, with High, Middle and Low zones, was once surrounded by a whole granite stone wall. The stone walls one can find in the main and back entrance are those remained [sic]."

Lai Chi Kok old stone pier [c.1904- ]

"The pier had been used by the Kowloon Customs sub-station (1887 – 1898), Chinese Labourers’ Quarters (1904 – 1906) and Quarantine Station (1908 – 1910s) for boat parking.

Sham Shui Po Customs Sub-station [c.1895- ]

c.1895-01-01 (Year is approximate)

Used as a Customs Sub-station for only a short period, from September 1895 until April 1899. Subsequently used as a guard house for the Quarantine Station (ca 1910-12), and possibly also for Lai Chi Kok Prison (ca 1921-1937).

HK Old photos exhibition at Jao Tsung-I Academy

As titled.  It actually started early last month.  According to a piece yesterday in Ming Pao, there are close to a hundred photos in the exhibition.  Details please see URL below.  It is not too far away from Mei Fu MTR, a little bit up the slope.  Daily 1000 to 1800, until 31st August 2018.
