This list says he was a government Health Inspector before internment at Stanley. Then gives these dates after the liberation of Hong Kong:

  • 1945, Sep 11 - Departed on leave
  • 1946, Aug 9 - Returned from leave
  • 1946, Aug 22 - Technical Assistant (Social Hygiene)
  • 1946, Sep 22 - Resigned

So back to Hong Kong, working again in a government role, but just for a month.
