"On Tuesday evening a German named Lorentz died at the Civil Hospital from the effects of an accident on board the German steamer Iphigenia in this harbour on Sunday afternoon. Lorentz was a passenger from Shanghai by the steamer, having been sent home on account of his health. On Sunday afternoon he mistook the door to the 'tween decks for that of the companion way, and had a fall onto the 'tween decks, sustaining such injuries that he died at the Civil Hospital on Tuesday evening.<Read more ...>
