Paul Kupfer was the Kapitän zur See of Freya. His grave is also included in Patricia Lim's book and its location is in Section 8. According to Hong Kong Telegraph, his funeral procession was descibed to be 'the largest and most imposing service spectacle witnessed in Hongkong since the funeral of the late Lieutanant O'Geran of the 80th regiment in November, 1874' [1]. Flags at the German Consulate, German companies and vessles were at half-mast. [2] 'Nearly the whole of the German residents in the colony' were present at the procession. [3]

Paul Abesser - he was born in Schwerin and died 1883 in Hong Kong. His grave can be found in the Happy Valley Protestant Cemetery; # 08---/04/03:

In 1931 the german community rented the premises on the fourth floor of the Butterfield and Swire building, 2 Connaught Road Central,  for the "Deutscher Klub" - German Club. The floor plan is a scan taken from the book: W. Sporleder; Hong Kong, 1928-1939.

The German Tennis Club - Deutscher Tennis Klub north to the junction Jordan Road - Gascoigne Road, Kowloon was established in 1927. There were two tennis courts an a small club house.
