Hunting group, Shanghai, ca. 1910

Dear reader,

Do you have any suggestions on which monument features in this photo? It was most likely made somewhere in the Shanghai area.

Many thanks,

Cricket Group, ca. 1910 Hong Kong

Charles Gesner van der Voort (1916-1991) worked for Holland-China Trading Company (HCHC) in Shanghai.
The photo was made by one of its first directors, Willem Kien, of a group of cricket players, while he worked for the Hong Kong office.

This excellent photo on HT Wong's flickr account is entitled "1910s Lion Rock" and shows one of the circular blockhouses constructed by the British military that Rob Weir kindly described at http://gwulo.com/node/40882.

This photo was posted on HT Wong's flickr account recently, entitled "1910s Midlevels Road". I didn't recognize the location but wondered if Gwulo could identify it based on the information on the the gatepost in the foreground which bears the name "E. D. C. Wolfe", and less clearly a number - perhaps "123".
