How strange to me now, that even when off duty and in civilian clothes, we still tended to walk with a military bearing. When going 'down town', we always got dressed up. Peter took this from the junction of Hennessy Road and Johnston Road, looking to the East. The sign of the Rialto theatre, that had opened in November 1952, after the China Cinema had closed is visible on the right.
