Source unknown to me.  Belcher's Gardens under construction, hence possibly 1955.  Co-op Housing Scheme for mid-ranking local civil servants.  Top terrace shown with huge canon in the middle.  Six blocks of four storeys with two numbers each.  Total 52 numbers on 5 or 6 terraces.  Private thoroughfare connected Polfulam Road to Shek Tong Tsui.  Gates at both ends with watchmen posts.

Adjacent HKU Lady Hotung Hall for girls and Ricci Hall for boys, as well as the Botany & Zoological Faculty.

This was the top terrace where the big canon (now at Coastal Defence Museum) was situated in the centre.  There were 6 blocks of two numbers each with four storeys. No.1&2 as well as No.11&12 were Type A1.  The rest A-type.  Most in the other terraces except one terrace were B-Type which were smaller.  Governor Sir Alexander Grantham unveiled the foundation stones situated at the front of the Canon.  The housing scheme for mid-ranking local civil servants was connected to another one at Chatham Road, Kowloon.
