An early photo of the Tai Pak in Aberdeen, taken by Roy Arguello in 1953-55. This is how the floating restaurant appeared in the film "A Many-Splendored Thing", which was filmed during this time frame.

This is the last of the pics I took in 1972. If this was now, I'd have taken jillions of pics without a care, but film wasn't really cheap anywhere, and my funds were running a bit low by the time I got here (I'd been in Japan), so something really had to stand out in my eyes to take a photo by then.

This is just about the last of the photos I have from HK. This was a stop on a NT tour I went on. There was a small souvenir stand nearby, and I bought an english-language copy of Mao's little red book there. Do I misunderstand, or was there also a "Tai Pak" in Aberdeen harbor also?
