This photo shouldn't be dated 1860. I would say 1870 is more accurate.
The clock tower should be built after 1862 or 64?(I can't remember now).
Correct dates
Right you are. Date duly updated. So we have photos and a map and they don't match.
The pier was to the side, then it was right in the middle, and then Pedder's Wharf vanished on the 1890 reclamation map. I really enjoy the way Gwulo allows everyone to have an opinion and make the whole site better
