Hi There,

Some say this would be the very first such restaurant in the area.  I could not recall though.  When I was old enough to tag along to one of these it was the Tai Pak, the current version.

Hi Thomas.  My first two visits were to the Tai Pak in 1958, and I returned to what seemed to be a much larger Tai Pak in 1981 and probably the same one in 1987.  Interesting experiences but I think that the meals were rather expensive compared with on-shore ones.  Happy memories, Andrew
