Comments

The helmets are pre-WW2, so 1930s seems more likely.

I thought that Stanley cemetery was first used in the 19th century, then there weren't any more burials until WW2. Can anyone confirm? If true, this must be taken at another cemetery.

Hi david - you're correct; Yould was buried in the colonial cemetery, 1930s looks likely. I've changed the details from Stanley to HK cemetery

Thanks for fixing that. I'd checked our listings, but missed it:

16D--/05/11-To the memory/ of/ 1062530 Lance/Bomdr./ Richard Yould/ 31st Heavy Battery/ Royal Artillery/ died/ February 7th 1930/ age 24/ erected/ by his comrades/ R.I.P.

Looks like the "/" stops the search from working. Something to fix.
