Lai Chi Kok Road 1930s and Present, looking to northwest along Lai Chi Kok Road from Shek Kip Mei Street. The red arrow* points to the pre-war shophouse at 264 which remains standing today, and a few shops farther up is Nam Cheong Street.

The long building on the right was the KMB bus depot maintenance and parking depot. Right of it is a small basin, also visible on the photo from 1968. This was reclaimed in the following years. To the very right a bit of the Lai Chi Kok government incinerator is visible. <Read more ...>
